⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had lunch at Boya Nanyang @ Imago today. The signature fried rice was really good — the rice and fried egg carried the dish well, though the satay on the side was a bit dry. The mee curry was also tasty, with generous portions of ingredients. Tried the coffee madras tarik — not exactly what I expected, but still enjoyable overall. Food and drinks are decent, but the waiting time was quite long despite there not being many customers. The dining area also feels a little small and packed. Would I come again? Yes, definitely, just hope the waiting time improves.
Good quality Nanyang and local Sabah-style I had a really pleasant experience take away here(Imago). The atmosphere was cozy, clean, and comfortable — a nice place to relax and enjoy good food. What made my visit extra special was the cashier named Aziz. His service was genuinely excellent. He greeted me politely, spoke in a friendly and respectful manner, and handled my order smoothly. Even though the place was quite busy, he stayed calm, professional, and patient. You can tell he cares about customers and takes his job seriously.
Tuaran mee was a bit salty but edible, overall the food and service was good. Price was affortable. We got free portuguese tart for this review
The food was okay, portion and price was also reasonable. Staff are nice and attentive.
Service and communication were good, but some of the menu description was a bit misleading. For example my bf ordered wantan mee (no pic) and it came out looking like Crispy yee mee. My bf just wanted to clarify what it was but the waitress was too afraid to reply and left the table immediately ':D G thing another waiter simply comfirmed it was wantan mee. The mee siam was tangy and delicious, the chicken in the wantan mee tasted different but overall it was good. The food arrived just after 15 mins.
I came to Kota Kinabalu wanting to try kaya toast, and I heard that BOYA is famous among Koreans. When I came here and tried it myself, the butter just melted in my mouth. It was so delicious. Thank you also for making the coffee without sugar just the way I asked. And nice venice worker
Ordered boya deep-fried meehoon. A big serving but it smelled too much like very old oil. As if it hasn't been changed for weeks. A bit disappointed. The ambience is nice though, maybe i was just unlucky with the choice of a dish.
I'm not sure that a chicken rice and a laksa count as KK food specialties, but it tasted damn good, and we just left bones and schrimp heads. Service is top, billing is fast and accurate, pricing is reasonable.
